FASEB Science Research Conference on “Acute Kidney Injury: Bench to Bedside (and back again)”
September 5 - July 21
Starts: Wed, Sep 5 at 12:00am
Ends: Sun, Jul 21 at 12:00am
Mark de Caestecker, Ray Harris, Eddie Siew and Neil Hukriede (U Pittsburgh) are organizing a FASEB Science Research Conference on “Acute Kidney Injury: Bench to Bedside (and back again)”, July 21-25th 2019 at the Asilomar Conference Grounds, Pacific Grove, Ca. The concept of this new conference is to increase and develop scientific interactions and collaborations across the bench to bedside divide, and to use this as a forum to help develop a pipeline of investigators trained to think in a more translational way about the problem of AKI. We have invited equal numbers of leading scientists involved in bedside and bench research as speakers to this conference. These include a selection of internationally recognized leaders in the field of AKI research, including scientists involved in the Kidney Precision Medicine Program, AKI clinical trials and biomarker discovery efforts, scientists studying the cellular and molecular mechanisms of disease, leaders from the governmental agencies and the pharmaceutical industry. We anticipate an additional 100-150 attendees from industry and academia involved in both basic and clinical sciences. Registration for the conference will be open in November 2018 through the FASEB SRC website http://www.faseb.org/Science-Research-Conferences.aspx.
