Information about your kidneys
Kidneys are important organs in the body that do many tasks to keep the body healthy.
The kidneys filter blood to remove wastes and toxins from the body. The kidneys also remove extra water to make urine. They also help control blood pressure and make hormones that your body needs to stay healthy. When the kidneys are damaged, wastes or fluid can build up in the body.
