Neil S. Sanghani M.D.
I currently practice general nephrology, and I treat a diverse group of patients with all types of kidney disease. I enjoy all aspects of nephrology, and I have a strong interest in treating patients with glomerular disease, particularly those with membranous nephropathy. I also have an interest in anemia related to chronic kidney disease, as well as helping to manage other symptoms that occur as renal function declines. I work closely with our renal pathologists to ensure that patients receive all of the information they need in order to make the right choices involved in treating their disease.
My research interests include finding new ways to treat the anemia associated with chronic kidney disease as well as those undergoing dialysis. I also participate in glomerular disease research, collaborating with other large centers around the country to better serve our patients. HIV related kidney disease is also one of my research interests, and I collaborate with our infectious disease colleagues on projects to find out more about kidney disease related to HIV.
I am heavily involved in educating our medical students, residents, and nephrology fellows, hoping to teach our future physicians how to better care for our patients with kidney disease
