End-Stage Kidney disease

End-stage kidney diseae, ESKD or kidney failure, is when the kidneys cannot clear the wastes and toxins from the body or remove enough water. This type of kidney disease is permanent and not expected to recover. Treatments may include dialysis, a kidney transplant or medical care to relieve symptoms.

It is important to discuss with your doctor and health care team the options for treating end-stage kidney disease.
